ABOUT US AT ZEPHYR SCHIPPERKES
My name is Cynthia. My husband and I live in Northern Ohio with all the dogs. We have 5 acres for the dogs to run and play in and a pond for swimming in and catching frogs. All of my dogs are pets first and show dogs second. I got my first Schipperke in 1978 and it has been love ever since. I started showing in 1980 and have finished and bred numerous champions. My bred-by Champion Zephyr’s Wings of A Dream recently won an Award of Merit at the Colonial Schipperke Club specialty Oct. 2008 and Best of Winners at the Michigan Schipperke Club Specialty Nov. 2008. She had only shown a few times last year as she took time out to deliver a litter of 3 boys. One of her son from that litter, Zephyr I Have A Dream, won Best Of Winners at the Michigan Schipperke Club Specialty Nov. 2008.
OUR GOAL AS
A BREEDER:
We strive to breed Schipperke’s as close to the breed standard as possible, maintaining the structure, soundness and temperament needed for any activity or sport. We believe that every litter we produce should be bred to be an excellent pet with good health and temperament. They should have the conformation characteristics to be a good show dog; along with the intelligence, stamina and working ability to excel in any performance event.
To help achieve our goals
we have studied the health and genetics of the breed. We also have studies
nutrition and training techniques.
We occasionally have puppies, retired champions available for adoption.
